Become a member of Woori Center!
Building an empowered, strong, and resilient Korean American and AAPI Community in PA!
Founded in 2019, Woori Center’s mission is to organize multi-generational Korean and Asian Americans to provide a forum for education and understanding within the immigrant community, access to services, promote discussion of diverse ideas, cultures and perspectives, and provide a voice for the immigrant and low-income community. Meaning “us” or “we” in Korean, Woori Center runs programs in five key areas: community organizing & advocacy, civic engagement, youth leadership, immigrant services, and arts & culture. Woori Center primarily engages community members in Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, Chester County, and wherever community member needs are across the state of Pennsylvania.
As a Woori Center member, you will be contributing greatly to empower and increase the voices of Korean American and AAPI voices at the national, state, and local level as we continue to fight for our community needs, issues and values by expanding the AAPI electorate and providing services and resources to community members. You will have access to our state network of progressive Asian and Pacific Islander folks, be invited to meetings and events, and make meaningful contributions to our organization’s work.
